Sterling Johnston & Associates (SJA) was formed by Devin J. Easterlin, Derek Bunyard, and Eirik Olsen to provide home owners and real estate investors with a personalized, professional and sophisticated full service real estate offering. Eirik Olsen, JD/MBA | Principal
Eirik earned his law degree and MBA from the University of Washington in 1992. Since then Eirik has managed multifamily, commercial and single family homes throughout the greater Seattle area. Prior to starting SJA, Eirik was Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Real Estate Center where he successfully brokered over 600 deals and earned Broker/Owner of the Year honors.

Devin J. Easterlin, JD | Principal
Devin graduated from college with degrees in Philosophy Pre-Law and Business, and then attended law school where he specialized in real estate transactional law. Devin is currently a licensed real estate agent and a licensed attorney and has worked in the property management industry for over ten years. Devin grew up in Kirkland and has lived in the Seattle area for over twenty-five years.

Derek Bunyard, Broker | Principal
Derek graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Business Administration. Derek’s career has encompassed business management in several diverse industries, including futures and options investments, real estate investing, and auditing fortune 500 companies. Derek is Managing Broker of SJA.

Deborah Sorum, Professional Short Sale Negotiator
After working for Western Washington’s largest emergency call center, Deborah began her career in real estate by purchasing and managing foreclosed properties on behalf of private investors. She was promoted to a management position with a national franchise, Homevestors, (“We buy ugly houses”) in both Colorado and Washington State. She acquired homes in pre-foreclosure and managed the rehabilitation of the properties for resale. After the sale of the HVA franchise, Deborah returned to working with private investors. In seeing the great need for experienced short sale negotiators, Deborah partnered with Brenna Martin to form Sormar Short Sale Negotiators. As a licensed real estate agent and certified distressed property expert, Deborah has facilitated hundreds of successful short sales over the past eight years.
Brenna Martin, Professional Short Sale Negotiator
After 5 years of service in the United States Marine Corps, Brenna spent several years as a 911 call taker and police dispatcher at Western Washington’s largest emergency call center. She made a career change to Real Estate, and has been successfully facilitating short sales since early 2008.
